“Don’t let the world around you squeeze you into its own mould, but let God re-mould your minds from within...”
Romans 12:2

Medical error and hypocrisy.

Hilary Butler - Friday, April 08, 2011

An American report shows that hospital errors are vastly higher than previously measured. Not that that comes as any surprise to those of us who have been there, watched that, and been amazed at the santimonious scorn, and deliberate white-washing that goes on, in such circumstances.

What's most interesting to me, is that this is the profession from which some participants write newspaper columns, articles and blogs excoriating those who don't vaccinate their children, when in reality, they and their peers maim and kill far more people through their own mistakes, than would be the result from a choice to not vaccinate your own children.

Many years ago, in a submission to a Parliamentary select committee, using old New Zealand published data, I pointed out that every three months, the medical profession in New Zealand kills more people than Polio managed to do in 125 years.  But that it took 15 months, to maim more people than polio did, in 125 years.

I wonder what those figures would be, if the new data from USA, also applied to New Zealand?

Stay tuned.
